Man, my grandmomma was Italian and she made the most delicious meatballs I ever tasted, like you wouldnt believe. Sadly, she didnt leave a recipe for me so I've been trying to figure it out by myself... slowly working my through the meatball recipes here, I still cant figure out what her secret ingredient was though!!!

I agree completely with your assessment of Rachel Ray! The dish looks really tasty though – and easy to make!

True, however 1 tuna steak cost me under $7. If I were to serve this for guests I would need 1 steak per guest, making the price go dramatically up. However this 1 steak in this recipe could feed a minimum of 4 people! That in it self is a great value. If I were to use canned tuna I don’t think I would achieve the same texture as the fresh tuna or the same light taste. But I completely understand where you are coming from and thanks for giving others another take on this recipe!

PS. It also saddens me to think that a beautiful meaty and tasty tuna steak ended up getting so lost, to the point you wouldnt even know the meatballs were tuna balls :’(

I must say that the sauce was the highlight of this dish. I love meatballs, and they were good, but they didn’t have that wonderfully meatball flavor Im so used to. If you need those little balls of meat on your plate riding along the waves of noodles, these little guys will do, but dont expect them to bring much to the party.
